Description: This project involved clearing away and/or trimming about 200 trees and removing brush/undergrowth for new roadway. Installed 1-1/4 miles of new underground 6-way concrete duct bank, recontoured and relocated 1-1/4 mile of gravel road. Paved the new road with 6” of asphalt. Installed in-road reflectors at 20’ intervals. Installed over 1000’ of new wood and steel guard rails. Installed new storm water management controls including two bio retention ponds complete with underground drainage. Installed 1200’ of bio retention ditches for storm water management. Installed 1-1/4 of new asphalt covered biking/walking path with two wooden bridges over stormwater drainage areas. Installed 800’ x 16’ tall block retaining wall with in gravel drainage atop the retaining wall. Installed a 4’tall x 800’ fence system with 6”x6” posts and stainless-steel cabling. Installed a new bulletproof guard booth with power and data connections. Installed new traffic control gates and barrier arms at the new guard booth. Planted about 500 new shrubs, 100 new trees, and a wild flowering grass mix throughout the roadway. Installed new signage and painted roadway for lane division, stop bars, bike lane and crosswalks.
